Not my favorite day on trail

Woke up early to try and get the day started. My stomach was still pretty upset from the day prior. But I wanted to get closer to town so I started walking despite it.

After climbing up Mt Albert we were greeted with the best views I've seen on trail so far.

We also officially hit 100 miles on the AT

About 7 miles into the day, we stopped at a shelter around noon and I was really not feeling well at all. I tried to lay down but my stomach was not having it. Decided that I needed to get off trail, so I hiked to the nearest Gap and called for a shuttle into town.

I ended up calling Sherpa Al and got a ride into Franklin. Unfortunately I had to let Jules keep on hiking as he has a time deadline to reach Katahdin. Hoping I can catch up to him at some point.

Got a motel room and am going to try and reset my stomach. Might have to stay another night tomorrow as well if my stomach doesn't get any better.

In town I walked around a little bit, got a burger and fries. Also got some kombucha, pretzels and some vegetables. Very hiker friendly town

Hoping to be back on trail for Saturday morning. Not super happy with this little detour especially with the cost of staying in the motel for 2 nights but it's better for my health in the long run.

But now my lock screen has a great background, no filter needed

See ya lovelies 👋
