Sorry for the lack of updates,

I know you all must be thinking about me 24/7

Where is Michael?

What happened to the Blog?

Did he quit?

Did the Bears get him?

In reality I spent 3 nights in Franklin North Carolina emotionally attached to the toilet in my motel room. I will spare the gruesome details, but my diet is now refined, and more sustainable.

This side quest did allow for me to spend a lot of time in one of the coolest towns I've visited yet. Franklin is an incredible thru-hiker town, they really cater to their audience.

Despite my stomach's technical difficulties, it did not stop me from indulging in some of the food and drink Franklin has to offer

The Lazy Hiker Brewery was a must, I had a delicious Tangerine Sour. I also met up with some other hikers. Hoping I can catch up with them as they left town a day ahead of me.

Came back a second time by myself for some chicken tenders and fries, food was gone before I could get another picture.

This Morning, I was picked up in a van by the First Baptiste Church. For a month during peak thru-hiker season they host a free all you can eat breakfast. They had Bacon, Pancakes and Fruit, along with juice and coffee. I unfortunately forgot to take any pictures but it was an awesome gesture by the church to make hikers feel welcome. It was also great to get a good meal in to start the day as I went back onto the trail.

Called up Sherpa Josh and he gave me a ride to the trailhead and the walking finally started again.

Some water for the day

Ran into Jim again! I interrupted his lunch

Finally got to the campsite, and had some great views for dinner. Ate an actual meal tonight and it was eye opening, not sure how often I'll have ramen for dinner anymore. The lasagna was way more expensive than ramen, but definitely worth it.

Hoping to catch the sunrise tomorrow, but might sleep in, who knows. There was a pretty a nice sunset tonight.

Glad to be back on trail, hoping my issues are behind me.

Blogs should be back to their regularly scheduled program.

See ya lovelies 👋
