Two weeks on trail

My bladder woke me up early enough for a nice view after my morning pee.

Today's plan was to go past the Nantahala Outdoor Center and find a stealth spot. Around 12 miles, nothing crazy, tomorrow will be a tougher day evelation-wise. Lots of downhill today.

Views going into town were awesome. There was a fire tower to take some pictures at, but the steps were not the most user friendly.

On my way through town I resupplied lightly and hit the restaurant a little after noon. Had a lovely mimosa sour and a steak sandwich. Big shoutout to the ladies who paid for my tab, wasn't expecting it but it was super appreciated. I barely talked to them too! My only complaint was they left before the waitress told me, so I couldn't thank them.

My view from lunch

Hiked about a mile out and found a nice campsite with enough space for a couple tents. Looks like it will be just me for tonight. Made a small fire to keep myself occupied and enjoyed a nice $6.99 rose that I hiked out to celebrate 2 weeks πŸŽ‰πŸ·

Tomorrow will be a big day. Starting off with a large climb in the morning, temps look like it'll get close to 80. Hoping to catch up with the rest of my usual crew before heading into the Smokey Mountains later this week.

Diet seems to be going well, excited to keep walking.

Until tomorrow,

See ya lovelies πŸ‘‹
