Gatlinburg Tennessee!
I did not enjoy this town, definition of a tourist trap.
Still had fun, it was nice to get a zero day in and eat lots of food.
Kept forgetting that it was Easter Sunday. Had some lovely steak skewers and braised spinach for lunch. Might be the first time I have ever swapped out fries for spinach but it was definitely worth it. Don't get to eat many vegetables on the trail.
It was nice to wash all our clothing as well. My hiking clothes were absolutely covered in mud and dirt. Aired out my tent which was soaking wet as well.
Easter dinner was a burger with pulled pork with a rum and coke per usual.
There were no grocery stores nearby so we had to resupply at Walgreens which was interesting.
Got some ice cream at Ben and Jerry's and then it was time to call it a night. Never thought sleeping in a bed would be such a luxury. Along with a shower and clean sheets.
Officially made it 3 weeks on trail. Already dreading the day I have to leave. I think I will have to do the entire thru-hike by the time I am 30. No need to worry about it now though, the trail isn't going anywhere.
Only a couple days left in the Smokies. Excited to leave Gatlinburg tomorrow morning.
See ya lovelies 👋
