Woke up extra early and left my tramily today, meeting up with the rents tomorrow and I wanted to get there early so I hit the trail by 6:30am

Heard news there was trail magic 23 miles out so that was my push for today

Lots of great views at the lake, makes me feel like I'm back in the Lakes Region.

Didn't stop for lunch today to get more miles in, and the rumors were true. 23 miles in around 4:00 there was a van with trail magic. Cookies, burgers, dogs, bud light, cola, etc. 

The guy running it was called Beer Run, he did the AT 2 years ago. He plans on starting the CDT in a month or so.

Walked 2 more miles to find a camping spot for the night. Views were incredible in the pastures. 

Probably one of my favorite days on trail yet.

Found a spot for myself and started a fire. 25.5 miles down today, really starting to get a hold of the miles. 8 miles to my parents trail magic tomorrow.

Cooked some peppers over the fire, and slept very well.

Travel day Drive down to the airport with Mom, Dad and Shannon, jealous that they were getting donuts and hanging with Miguel after.  Plane got delayed for some reason beyond my comprehension, gave me plenty of time to charge my devices and watch one of the best movies of all time  Sat across the aisle from a really cute baby, not as cute as Miguel obviously Had myself a Pepsi (JetBlue doesn't do coke apparently ...) And bacardi, and slept as well as the baby next to me.  Amanda from the Grateful hiker picked me up where she drove me and a Canadian to the start of the AT. We listened to a quick 10 minute leave no trace talk, officially registered and learned how to properly throw our bear bag.  Spent the rest of the night chatting around the campfire with "Karma" somebody who has hiked  the AT 4 times before. Got some great advice, are some ramen, brushed my teeth and settled in for the night.  Cheers to the r...

What a glorious zero day, we slept in, had an incredible breakfast, waffles, eggs, bacon and fresh fruit.  Spent the day relaxing, drinking, and brainstorming mileage for my final week on trail.  Resupply tomorrow, then an easy 4 miles back in trail  See ya 😘

Probably the best day on trail Woke up at 3:30 this morning to catch the sunrise on McAfee Knob and it did not disappoint, definitely my favorite view and sunrise of the trail Had some more miles to get into town, had a killer pulled pork salad. Last resupply on trail. Ran into some day hikers, one of them had a son who hiked the trail so she gave me an oatmeal cookie, didn't remember to take a picture till the last bite.  To top it all off, when we left town, we also hit 1/3rd of the way to Katahdin,  Had no idea that I would be able to make it this far, but definitely surprised and happy that I did Until tomorrow 🤙  See ya lovelies
